Johann-Sebastian Guzman - Conductor

Colombian roots, American beginnings, and European musical tradition

Johann-Sebastian Guzman, born in Miami to a Colombian family, discovered music early as a space for expression and connection.

He is Resident Conductor at the Vienna Volksoper and Assistant Conductor to Daniel Harding at the Accademia Nazionale di Santa Cecilia in Rome. He has collaborated with leading international orchestras and conductors, received recognition at major competitions, and previously served as Music Director of the TU Orchestra in Vienna.

His work is defined by an energetic, collaborative approach across opera, symphonic repertoire, and musical theatre.
